Abu Shukri (Old City Jerusalem) 12/2011

This incredibly popular tiny half a room restaurant is continually full of a league of nations diners. They have no sign on the door but nowhere we saw was as crowded. The menu is extremely limited. A few salads, pita bread with humus with black eye beans or with pine nuts, tahina, a hot red sauce, an Israeli salad,

and the most excellent felafel, quite moist and gently flavoured that I can ever remember.it's very inexpensive, four of us ate for NIS130, about A$35. The food is exceptionally tasty.
